Look What’s Local and Gluten-Free in our Freezer!

When the dinner is over and the cake is served, folks on a strict gluten-free diet can have cake too! Our very own bakehouse  is now delivering delicious, ready-to-decorate celebration cakes to our freezer shelves here at Valley Natural Foods. These 18-oz cakes are available in chocolate with chocolate frosting, or vanilla with white frosting. They are tasty just as they are, or ready for your finishing touches–they’re especially nice with a topping of fresh berries.

These cakes are also a good option for those who are on dairy-free diets as well. Taste and texture are not compromised because our passionate, creative bakehouse staff worked hard to develop recipes for products you can hardly tell are both gluten and dairy-free! Even folks with no dietary restrictions are sure to enjoy this cake!

Note: Our Gluten-Free Celebration Cakes are selling quickly, and our bakehouse staff is working hard to get our freezer shelves re-stocked on Thursday, August 18.

Our very own Down in the Valley Bakehouse sports a gleaming new, dedicated gluten-free kitchen (in Burnsville, off-site from the co-op). Delicious baked goods will be made in small batches to ensure great taste – just look for our new label!

Looking for a fabulous gluten-free cake for your graduate? Inquire at our deli area! Our deli staff will take your order and our bakehouse will bake you the best gluten-free cake you have ever tasted! We baked the first one in our new kitchen last week and it received rave reviews!
