Valley Natural Foods has been a co-op in the Twin Cities south metro area since 1977 and has grown to be voted one of Minnesota’s Best Grocery Stores of 2021, 2022 & 2023, with a focus on making everyone feel welcome when visiting the store and having the values of community, authenticity, diversity and well-being.
Our Brands
Valley’s Own Bakehouse started with our parent company, Valley Natural Foods Co-op, making Valley’s Own a co-op as well. With our co-op values in serving our community, we noticed a need for gluten-free goods that delivered on both quality and taste. In 2011, we started by opening our first bakehouse and over the years the growing demand for our products led us to open a bigger bakehouse facility in 2021 in Rosemount, MN.
We have previously acquired Brody’s 579 brands, a line of gluten-free muffins and muffin mixes. Brody’s 579 products are all now under the name Valley’s Own Bakehouse, and you can still purchase your favorite muffin mixes. Customers can expect the same quality from Brody’s 579 that they have experienced in the past.
We acquired Kakookies in 2022, after establishing a relationship with Kakookies and produced for them in our bakehouse until the retirement of the founders.
